Irish spotted and mismarked Dachshunds I only breed from well marked piebalds up until this point. I did in the beginning use a Irish spotted dog that carried piebald and then kept the piebald from the litter. Miss American pie is from such a litter. Both her parents are Irish spotted- of a litter of 6-she was the only Piebald. I have written several papers on the topic of spotted dachshunds- one is called "THE S-SPOTTING GENE"-explaining the genetics behind the whole gene and the other is "A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME" and is on my breeding program.
